Fundația9 maps and contributes to a cultural sector open to collaboration and critical reflection in the public space. It is interested in culture as a living process, as a way of understanding today’s world through contemporary art, lifelong learning, and independent journalism.

It works through three complementary programs: Scena9, an online cultural journalism daily; Școala9, an education journalism platform; and Rezidența9, a space for encounter and cultural experimentation. Across all three, it aims to bring people closer to relevant contemporary voices and to the themes that build bridges between fields, communities, and generations.

Fundația9 was established in 2017 by BRD – Groupe Société Générale, as part of its commitment to supporting culture and education in Romania. Since then, it has become an open platform for bold ideas and responsible collaborations.

ȘI pitch is a networking and professional development program aimed at emerging artists. Its goal is to support young creators in identifying public and private funding opportunities, as well as in building partnerships with cultural institutions and associations.

For this first edition, three projects were selected, which the teams will present to experts in the cultural field. Each presentation is followed by a Q&A session, as well as panel discussions led by representatives from OISTAT Romania, Fundația 9, the Creative Europe Desk Romania and AFCN.

Through this framework for dialogue, ȘI pitch aims to open up opportunities for collaboration and facilitate young artists’ access to the resources necessary for developing their projects.
